It's like 3:30am, I havent slept in a while. I decided to node the night as I remember it as of this fuzzy second. If it seems a bit spaz-floofy-ish, it's because I am a dork.
So I started on my journey to meet some of my fellow noders from Florida. We were mostly from the southern gulfshore area of the state, except briiiiian. I am already off track.. anyway.. So my boyfriend drove up to Tampa with me. We hit some bad rain, and I was feeling kind of ill. I hadn't slept the night before, and was a bit spaz-like.
We arrived at the designated meeting spot. Someplace called T.G.I. Friday's. We walked into the lobby, and right away we spotted tregoweth, sylvar, gamaliel and Segnbora-t . Upon arrival I found out that in this group of people with "such common handles" that one of them couldn't even pronounce their own. We all introduced ourselves, using our real names. I must admit. I remember 2 out of 4, I blame it on the lack of sleep. After brief introductions we decided to sit down at the table and wait for the others inside the restraunt.
After some talking, briiiiian showed up. He walked past us, and I just had the feeling it was him. 10 minutes later he came up to us. Sometime before this we ordered some liquor. So when briiiiian got there, it was time to order food already. I have no clue what everyone else had. I ordered green beans, but when they got there, they had almonds on them.. yuck.. ANYWAY .. umm..
Somewhere in this time between ordering food, and paying the check I learned a lot about my fellow noders. tregoweth is waiting for the anonymous boob server. sylvar likes slayer, not the band.. the Buffy. Segnbora-t is armed and dangerous with a camera, at least armed with one. Gamaliel can give a campus tour for credit! briiiiian appears, then poof .. after a jack and coke - leaves. Mike Tyson is EDB. And something about Bobby Brown and a squash? It's all too surreal. Can we do it again? |
