At 14042 feet (4280 meters) high, Mount Langley is both the southernmost and one of the easiest of the California Fourteeners. The summit is free of vegetation and is covered with a dry white gravel. The first recorded ascent was made in 1871 by Clarence King and Paul Pinson.
