Heiress to the William Randolph Hearst fortune (i.e. she was the granddaughter of "Citizen Kane"), she would eventually have been a household name (via the family money and/or publishing empire), but it came a lot earlier than expected -- she was kidnapped in 1974 by the Symbionese Liberation Army. During her captivity, she (voluntarily or not) joined the SLA, eventually serving time in prison for her "urban guerrilla" activities. Later worked in John Waters films.
