Teen funk prodigy with the JB's (James Brown's band); ran off with some mutineers to, first, form his own band, the House Guests; they were then assimilated into Funkadelic. His bass became an integral part of the Parliafunkadelicment Thang. He's made numerous cameo appearances with other folks, like Deee-Lite ("Groove is in the Heart"). He has more pairs of shades than Imelda Marcos has shoes.
