There's several interesting hidden "features" buried in Everything2.

I like playing with toys, but I like neat tools more. Here's a list I've compiled over the years. It's far from exhaustive, but it's what I've got! You'll notice that most of them are not actually easter eggs but tools which folks have sweated over to make aspects of e2 easier, more interesting, or fun to use. /Msg me if you'd like to see an addition.

Many of the more useful of these are already located in the list of utilities commonly found in the Vitals nodelet running down the right side of the screen.

Not all of these will display the same information depending on your level or if you are an ed or admin. For example, leaders of usergroups can use the simple usergroup editor while noders who do not head a group cannot. Makes sense, I think.

State of being:
My Big Writeup List Everything wot you wrote.
honor roll and you Where you stand in the honor roll.
Voting Oracle This gives you an idea of how often you vote.
Golden Trinkets This lets you in on your total number of blessings, if any.
Noding speedometer This gives you an idea of how fast you're noding. You need to have at least 50 writeups for this to work.
your nodeshells You thought they just drifted away on the tide didn't you? They come back with it too. Every nodeshell you made that's still in existence. And as of 4/2006, searchable by user!
Your filled nodeshells Brand new from ascorbic! (4/06)
Punch Thyself A way to remove XP from yourself in small increments. This does not affect writeup rep, just overall XP.
E2 Nodegel Visualizer Provides offsite links. Pyrogenic's works again! A nodegel visualizer is a graphic representation of your writeups. Some are prettier than others, and they're all interesting. nodeSTAR is another wu about a nodegel visualizer brought to my attention by Taliesin's Muse. The site still exists, but it doesn't appear to actually process anything anymore. Still, there's a gallery of old visualizations if you'd like to see how they work. I've got an inquiry in with BlakJak on the state of the site
E2 node tracker Provides offsite links. A node tracker is a handy way of seeing which of your writeups are being voted on. You have to establish a base-line, however, so do it before you wonder "gee, where did that -1 just come from?"
E2 Link and Logger Client Provides offsite dl location. It's complicated, but it's also meant to be "all in one" for many useful tools. Take a look!

Writeup tools: None of these replace learning a little bit of basic html and good formatting guidelines. I don't use any of the formatters, but instead reference E2 HTML Tags.
link view One of my favorite tools. The link only appears when you're in a single writeup view, and it allows you to see all the links in the writeup divided by which lead somewhere and which do not. It does not differentiate between nodeshells and nodes with content, however.
E2 Offline Scratchpad link courtesy of wertperch as one of his favorite tools. Provides an outside link, but also other info. Useful!
E2 node backup (Or use the offsite link) another good find by wertperch. SAVE your NODES!
Text Formatter Does what it says.
E2 Source Code Formatter
Wharfinger's Linebreaker Breaks lines, ideally for things like poetry.
E2 Paragraph Tagger
E2 List Formatter
alphabetizer link courtesy of JohnnyGoodyear. Handy!
Rot13 Writing in code is not to be used lightly but sometimes it's merited. Here's a coder/decoder for ease of use.

Reaching out: I have left off registries which may contain actual addresses. There are many ways for noders to keep in touch outside of e2 proper, but I'm not comfortable documenting them here.
Message Inbox See all your incoming messages and the chatterbox at the same time (assuming you're not /chatteroff, in which case you'll only see your messages).
squawkbox Monitor more than one room at the same time.
chatterlight Takes less to load, etc, if you're just catboxing. Remember not to talk all the time!
/chatteroff for when you're feeling antisocial and want the catbox to go away. The squawkbox will still work when you're /chatteroff. Clicking the link provided when you are chatteroff or using the code /chatteron turns the catbox back on.
e2 rooms Official rooms. Not all of which may be available for your use.
available rooms Meanwhile at and after level 5, noders can create rooms. All the available rooms are listed here.
Create Room Feature The link is above the room location in your nodelets if you are level 5 and up, but there's more information about it in the writeup.
Usergroup Lineup See what usergroups are out there.
simple usergroup editor This only works for noders who run a usergroup.
Everything Finger Not naughty at all, this lets you see who's on.
Who to send presents to, and when. Birthdays!
E2 Family tree with thanks to C-dawg and the forum.
