Gordon Brown

In 1983 Mr Brown became the Labour MP for Dunfermline East, and chair of the Scottish Labour Party Council. In 1992 he was appointed shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. When Labour came ot power in 1997 he became full Chancellor, a post that he still occupies.

He lists his interests as football(soccer to you Americans) tennis, and film.

Edit: On June 27, 2007 Brown became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
