Don't forget probably one of the most inhumane newspaper headlines of all time. During the Falklands conflict, the Argentine warship "The General Belgrano" was sunk on the direct orders of Margaret Thatcher, despite the fact that it was outside Britain's unilaterally-declared 200-mile exclusion zone and heading away from the Falklands. Hundreds of young Argentine naval conscripts drowned, and The Sun outdid itself with a one-word headline:

Gotcha!
