A movie producer who along with Jerry Bruckheimer produced many blockbuster movies in the 1980's such as Top Gun and Beverley Hills Cop.

Simpson died on January 19, 1996 of heart failure on his toilet in Beverly Hills whilst reading Oliver Stone's autobiography.
