A song used in a late 70s/early 80s worldwide advertising campaign by the Coca-Cola Company. The television adverts featured lots of happy smiling children of all races dancing around. Factoid: in apartheid South Africa the advertisement had to be remade to feature only white kids.

I'd like to buy the world a home,
furnish it with love
grow apple trees, honey bees
and snow white turtle doves

I'd like to teach the world to sing,
in perfect harmony
I'd like to buy the world a Coke,
and keep it company

The song was recorded as "I'd like to teach the world to sing" (without Coke references), which was a hit for The New Seekers in late 1971/early 1972. (It hit number one on the pop charts in England but didn't quite get that high anywhere else). I believe the New Seekers sang the commercial version too.
