Beautiful and tall range of mountains in the south west of Ireland. Among them is Ireland's highest mountain, Carrantuohill (1039 meters).
The reeks are visible from the tourist mecca, Killarney. Those that venture up Carrantuohill will encounter the aptly named Devil's ladder and the Devil's punchbowl.
The landscape is harsh being dominated by cairns, scree, sheep and fierce winds.
There are also mystical passes in which
cascading, shimmering streams must be traversed with care.
