Despite what the name suggests, Outreach Rescue is not a mountain rescue organisation in its own right. Located near Bethesda at the edge of Snowdonia National Park, the center was founded some 30 years ago as an outward bound facility, and continued in that fashion for some time.
Since 1998, however, they have used the location to conduct training for both the emergency services and the private sector in various rescue strategies, work at heights, other industrial safety aspects, and first aid.
