A
term
used to
express
the
measurable
change
of a
variable
over a measurable change in
another
variable. An
example
of this is when one measures the
average speed
of a traveler by
timing
the traveler twice (at the
beginning
and
end
of the
journey
) and using it to divide the
total
distance
traveled.
