list of several
items, printed such that each item begins a new
line and is preceded by a
bullet character. A bulleted list is often
indented one
tab stop in from the surrounding text's left
margin.
Bulleted lists are commonly used when the items being listed are too long to practically fit in a single in-line sentence. They are also used in outlines and presentations, often to list alternatives or features. They are not recommended for use when listing the steps of a procedure; use a numbered list for that.
In HTML, a bulleted list may be generated with the unordered list tag, <UL>; each item is introduced with the list item tag, <LI>.
