One who
travels
recreationally for the purpose of
eating, specifically for the purpose of experiencing

exotic cuisines. Notorious destinations for culinary tourism are
France and
Italy, but people have been known to make trips to domestic locations to broaden their

New York City,
San Francisco,
New Orleans, or the
wine country of
California.
There are now entire package vacations dedicated to culinary travel, including some that are very specific, such as tours of various olive presses or cheese farms.
