A bit of
slang originating from the depths of
Chicago University (purportedly by a one
Tyler Brown). It is essentially a positive term in the vein of
cool,
mad,
awesome,
hip,
ill,
wicked,
narly,
tubular,
sweet,
bodacious,
bitchin',
killer,
phat,
rad, and perhaps
righteous (if you happen to still be in the
seventies).
Pronunciation: Both syllables rhyme with the word "dough." Emphasis is on the first syllable.
The variant Choko Ono is sometimes used for special emphasis (this being a clever pun on the name of Yoko Ono).
Example: " Deltron has mad beats; his new song is so choko."
