This photo appears to have been taken early Tuesday, August 30, 2005, after the storm, before the flooding. It shows the corner of St. Charles and Peniston in New Orleans, just a few blocks from where I lived.
This intersection is, as of 2 AM, Wednesday, August 31, under water.
I am leaving my possessions to the looters or to the flood.
