This morning I went to the school for registration, and for once they didn't botch my schedule badly. Around 1:00 a freak tornado hit downtown, disrupting power (and getting me paged repeatedly as network hardware went down), causing extensive damage and casualties in a few blocks of the city, and uprooting trees near a hospital. And it's only 3:30 so far!
