Fortune Magazine writer. Back in February 2001, she called attention to
Enron's mysterious ways; lots and lots of
revenues but no clues on how they actually made all that money, everything being so secretive for 'competitive reasons'.
She was
dissed by the
CEO, the
chairman called her editor to complain about her nosiness and the
CFO flew in personnaly to assure everyone that
everything was fine.
When her story appeared in the March 3rd issue of Fortune it was met by a
resounding, ground-shaking shrug. So the story sank and
Enron continued its
bull market trajectory until
December 2001.
