Recently, he announced plans to flee back to Europe, sobbing in his hanky, at the end of his contract in July 2001. Reportedly the "lack of culture" in Toronto has gotten to him. Oh boo hoo. OTOH, he's quite right to say that Roy Thomson Hall is a pathetic excuse for a concert hall.
