While I don't really care that much about how pretty
Windows is, I do care about having features loaded that I never use- like the
Start Menu. One of my favorite features of Litestep is having four desktops. I'll have
AIM,
ICQ,
Winamp,
Netwatch, and IM windows in one desktop,
mIRC in another, and the other two I use for web browsing or whatever. My favorite feature of all is being able to map hotkeys to almost anything. I have over three quarters of my keyboard mapped to something. You can get a
hotkey to control Winamp, mIRC, ICQ, launch a program, etc.
And while some may argue with me on this, for me Litestep is
faster and more stable than
Explorer. In fact,
Netscape has only crashed twice since July 2000 (Feb 2001 now)!!
