In response to yesterday’s daylog about the late David Carradine, I thought I’d leave my own contribution to the memory of the famed actor. The circumstances of his death are still under investigation. All we know is that his body was found naked, hanging, with cords wrapped around his neck and genitals. The Thai police seem to have written it off as an Elliott Smith-style celebrity suicide, geeks and pervs think it was a botched autoerotic asphyxiation, and others think he was assassinated by ninjas (possibly in an attempt to elevate Carradine’s mysterious demise to that of Bruce Lee’s).

The whole situation is a comedic gold mine.

So without further ado, here are a few proposals for David Carradine’s epitaph. You may commence with the groaning.

  • David Carradine: Way to Leave a Guy Hanging
  • David Carradine: RIP, We’re Choking Back Tears
  • David Carradine: Hung Up on Life
  • David Carradine: Must Have Been at the End of his Rope
  • David Carradine: Breathed his Last Breath June 4, 2009.
  • David Carradine: Had Something Hanging Over his Head
  • David Carradine: Roped into his Last Movie, June 4, 2009.
  • David Carradine: No Safeword— What Really Killed Bill

Heath Ledger was a tragedy, but it’s hard to take Carradine’s death seriously. Wonder why that is.
