The Unreal Movie Team was originally formed in the summer of 1998 by eVOLVE, not long after
Unreal was first released. They started off by making a few short movies, namely '
Powerout' and '
Reality Dream'. At the same time, they started working on another, much larger project -
Arcadia (starring
Bill Benners)
In December 1999, eVOLVE, and
Hugh Macdonald (co-head of
Team Frame with
eVOLVE) decided to merge the Unreal Movie Team with
Team Frame, to form
UnFramed Productions.
The Unreal Movie Team only ever released four short movies - the aforementioned
Powerout,
Reality Dream, and two
trailers - one for an imaginary film, and the other for
Arcadia.
