Batman Knight Flight is a
floorless roller coaster at
Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora, OH. Opened May 5th, 2000, after construction by
Bolliger & Mabillard, this 161 foot steel monster took the record for longest
floorless coaster in the world. After climbing a wide lift over part of
Lake Geauga, riders are dropped 155 feet at approximately 65 mph. This sends riders into a 135’ high
vertical loop, and a series of four other
inversions beginning with a dual
boomerang (comprised of a
diving loop), and 2 intertwining
corkscrews.
This ride was introduced in 2000 as a part of
Six Flags restructuring and nurturing of a smaller park into what is now becoming a very viable and popular park. Batman Knight Flight is as well the favorite
roller coaster of my two of my closest friends. What follows is detailed statistics on Batman Knight Flight:
- Height: 161’
- Drop: 155’
- Max Speed: 65mph
- Angle of Drop: 57 degrees
- Max G-Forces: 3.8 Gs
- Length: 4210’
- Inversions: 5
