A
few things
:
The
track listing
ending with
Office of Hearts
was very much
intentional
, and also was on the
vinyl version
. The reason? Songs 19-24 were meant to be
bonus tracks
. In the vinyl version they come
on their own
12"
EP
.
Only tracks 5, 17, 19, 21, and 23 were
produced
by
Kim Deal
at
Easley Studios
in
Memphis
. Tracks 20 and 22 were produced by the mighty
Steve Albini
in
Chicago
. All the other songs were band-produced in
Dayton
.
Outtakes for the album that showed up later included
Pantherz
,
Party
(which showed up on the
Robert Pollard
solo record
Not in My Airforce
),
Shrine to the Dynamic Years
, another version of
Bughouse
, and
I'll Buy You a Bird
.
The
Japanese
version of the album came out in
1997
on
Bandai
Records. It had two extra songs on it,
Finks
and
The Finest Joke is Upon Us
(from the album
Mag Earwhig!
). The
UK
version had an extra CD in the package. The first
six songs
(which were also on the
Australian
release) were released as the
Tigerbomb
7" EP in the
US
. The last 3 songs were from a split CD EP that was released with
Superchunk
to promote a tour of Australia that got cancelled. The tracks are
Delayed Reaction Brats
,
He's the Uncle
, and
The Key Losers
.
