A traditional dish of the Philippines.
2 lbs pork
1 head garlic -- crushed
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 1/2 cups water
8 whole peppercorns -- crushed
some salt
Steps
- Slice pork into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and cook hour or until pork is tender (adding water if necessary).
- Add salt to taste.
- Serve with steamed rice.
