I am pleased to report that I'm doing much, much better. The horrible swelling that
plagued me has disappeared. I feel better.
I am also pleased to report that I'm getting along fine on a glass or two of
red wine each day and zero cigarettes. This in contrast to the hard-drinking
writer working feverishly at his Underwood in a smoke-filled room under the
light of a bare bulb.
I thought I'd forget about what I learned while in hospital. But I've
retained the important stuff.
To sum up: I'm learning how to love myself.
Oh, that was good. Let's try again:
I love myself.
There. That wasn't very hard. If I can't love myself, I can't very well be
capable of loving anyone else, can I?
And what comes to mind is that I love all of you, my fellow noders.
Love,
shaogo
P.S. My new diet sucks, but my doctor says "Nothing is carved in stone."
