Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne was re-made in 2003. The remake was titled Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniacs. Many features were added in the creation of the game.
-
Dante, hero of the Devil May Cry games as a summonable demon.
-
Secret demons (the Majin) from previous SMT games fusable and summonable.
-
Demons from the original version of SMT3 that weren't fusable (such as Futomimi and Ja-aku Frost) can now be added to the party.
-
A new ability for the main character and his demons called Penetrate is added.
-
An extra dungeon with many challenges in it known as the Amara Deep Zone is added. This dungeon allows the player to learn extra information regarding the Vortex World from a mysterious pair of characters in five different cutscenes.
-
The option of fighting a new, harder final boss.
-
A selectable difficulty level.
The remade version is the one that was released in the
US in the year
2004. It was called Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne because the III wasn't really necessary, seeing as how the two previous games have little chance of EVER being released into the US.
